The Promotion Celebration is a special evening event for 8th grade students ready to promote to High School. The event includes food, dancing, elaborate decor, entertainment and pictures; and creates lasting memories of their Bret Harte experience for students and their friends.

Who can attend?
This celebration is exclusively for Bret Harte 8th grade students.
What happens at the event?
The Promotion Party includes food & drink options, music, photo opportunities, and some fun activities.
dress code: What should students wear?
The theme is semi-formal. However, we want everyone to feel welcome! If a student doesn’t want to dress up, they are still invited as long as they wear school-appropriate clothing.
DREss code: What is not allowed?
No sports team apparel, jerseys, or gang-related colors. Bret Harte dress code is enforced.
Can students bring bags?
No backpacks are allowed at the event.
can students bring phones & purses?
Yes! We will have a secure coat check specifically for cell phones and small purses.
do students need to bring their bronco card?
Yes, students should bring their Bronco card to check in for the event. If the card is not available, administration will be available to help identify the student.
what if my student needs to leave early?
Please email us ahead of time to let us know what time you will be picking up your student. In case of an emergency, early pick-up can take place at the designated check-out area.
