Donation Options
Please choose ONE of the options below to make your donation. Our organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit formally named Bret Harte Educational Association with Tax ID# 77-0342966. **Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Please consult a tax professional for further advice.**

Option 3: CORPORATE MATCHING
- Check with your employer’s benefits/HR department or look on your employer’s portal for details. You may also check online at Charity Navigator to find your employer’s Benevity giving portal.
- If your employer uses the Benevity giving portal, please donate direct through the portal to Bret Harte Educational Association (Tax ID# 77-0342966), a qualified non-profit. All donations will be automatically matched up to your available company donation limit ($1 – $10,000 per fiscal year).
- Include a note with "BHCC" and your student's name/grade to properly apply your donation.
- If you donated outside Benevity (e.g., PayPal, Zelle, or check), you need to raise a donation matching request “Request a Match” in your Benevity giving portal along with your original contribution receipt.
Note: You will receive a donation receipt automatically if you submitted the Donation Form and your donation has been received. Otherwise, contact us for a donation receipt.
