Book Fair (2/10 - 2/14): Call for Volunteers

We need volunteers in order for the Book Fair to remain open! Please sign up at Book Fair Volunteer Sign-up. The Scholastic Book Fair will be in the school library, February 10-14. The Fair provides the main funding for school library books. Our goal is to sell 508 or more books.

When you arrive for your volunteer shift, please sign in using the Envoy check-in system in the front office. Then sign our volunteer check-in sheet and put on a volunteer badge at the fair. Questions can be directed to Nina Tsang at [email protected]. Thank you for supporting the school library. We hope to see you there!

Students can make purchases during snack break, lunch recess, and after school. After-school hours will be:
  • Monday, February 10 until 2:30
  • Tuesday-Thursday, February 11-13 until 3:30
  • Friday, February 14 until 3:00
Career Day (3/20): Call for Volunteers

Bret Harte will be having Career Day for 8th grade student on March 20th from 9-noon. Our goal is to have professionals from all backgrounds and types of careers to provide insight and inspiration to our 8th graders of the opportunities available to them after school. You don’t need to prepare a formal presentation, this is a Q&A session.

If you have a profession that you are passionate about and would like to share it with our 8th grade student community - please contact [email protected] or sign up here.

If you would like to participate, please sign up - 1st come 1st serve by profession!
Board Open Positions

URGENT NEED for Co-Treasurer and Co-Book Fair Chair:
  • Co-Treasurer - Share BHCC treasurer responsibilities with our awesome treasurer
  • Co-Book Fair Chair - Open co-chair position for 2020 Book Fair. You and co-chair will share the responsibilities to drive a successful Book-fair! You both can shadow the current chair to get trained!
Please contact BHCC at [email protected] to inquire more about these positions.

Any questions about BHCC in general? Please contact your co-presidents Yael Kharman and Shallu Bhalla at [email protected].

The Community Club supports our students and staff by providing staff lunches, equipment, and supplies for classrooms, student dances, student recognition, anti-bullying programs as well as our Request For Funding Program. Though we have asked for $250 per student any amount is appreciated. You are able to contribute by downloading the form and paying by check or by using PayPal. Both options can be found by visiting the Membership Drive page of the BHCC website.

We would also like to encourage you to pursue any corporate matching that may be available through your workplace in order to further support BHCC. If you are in need of a receipt for your corporate matching please send an email request. We appreciate your support!
